Just got my cards that I submitted at the National back today. Here are a few of them:

Just got this tonight. 1983 Topps Wax box BBCE from a sealed case.
I really like the ‘58 set!
Free them!
I don't see it happening. The last two vending boxes I purchased from 81 and 82 both had over 75% of the cards way off center and basically worthless. I got a lot of hall of famers but nothing that would have received over a PSA 7.
I swore that would be the last time I opened a vintage unopened box.
Got these in a couple of days ago:

Nice assortment of Bears and Cubs!
Won these yesterday.

I'm a fan of interesting pins.
Yanks go to Japan Pin 1955:
The Yankees’ 1955 visit to Japan was less about the stat sheet and more about baseball as diplomacy. They arrived in October, played about 16 games in Japan, drew massive crowds, delighted Japanese fans, and left with an undefeated record in Japan. For Japan, it was a high-profile encounter with an American institution. For the Yankees, it reinforced their global brand and opened doors.
Shin zen ryo ko - greetings
For something new to mix in with fantastic vintage...since I still enjoy the art-type cards, picked up some Andy Friedman '25 Shoebox Treasure boxes. Not for everyone, but I do like his watercolor retakes on these.
Got very lucky on that gold foil 1/1, woody Yount, and the 2 SSP GPks as well. Lots of other nice things, but these probably the highlights.
Now back to the classics!
I purchased this dead-centered beauty this morning (11/6)...
Hiya Monte - that's better than 9 sweet! Great pickup buddy - no fisheyes!!!
For those who like the more oddball stuff?
Just came in today - the Yankees used to give away these tankards at Christmas time.
It's 5" tall - I tend not to polish and leave with its aged patina.
From the Heritage narrative: I got mine from Hunt - for 61 bucks - good price since the Heritage one went for over 300 bucks. 👍
1954 New York Yankees Presentational Christmas Stein. Despite not winning the pennant, the Bronx Bombers still managed to find some holiday cheer, as is proven by this weighty pewter mug bearing the Yankee logo and the engraved words "Christmas 1954." Presented only to Yankee team members and V.I.P.'s, very few of these mugs have found their way into collectors' hands. This one remains in solid condition, only exhibiting wear consistent with age. Five inches in height.
Incredible card mintonlypls. Best I have ever seen.
Nice Ryan pickup Monte! i told you I might have an 8,5 for sale, but you are in the big leagues now with a 9👍
KC
That is really a sick card. The purple is screaming like it was freshly painted!
Congrats!
This one was bigger than I anticipated and am working on where to put it - it really belongs on a table but that would really eat up space - I may in the future get an antique looking table and place it in the center of the room. This one doesn't come up very often.
"Daddy of Them All" National Pastime Baseball pinball game, c.1932
By Frank Kozla, 5 cent game, manufactured by Broward Millworks, two piece, pine case on stretcher base, glass cover with handpainted gameboard depicting baseball field.
41 × 27 × 42”
Mike…
That is a very cool pinball machine. Congrats!
Mike , if you haven't already , you ought to start a Thread showcasing all the different Baseball games you have or have owned . I remember seeing a bunch awhile back . I'd love to see them again.-- Sonny
Thanx Monte and Sonny.
Sonny. I did have a thread on coin ops - I forgot I had that until you mentioned about my games - I don't think I ever put together a thread on my BB games? I have around 200 of them for sure. I believe I'm the only game collector on the board?
Thanx again.
Awesome pickup Mike - that thing is huge. You have amassed an awesome baseball game collection - going to need a bigger house soon😉
Thanx Keith - you sure hit the nail on the head buddy.
Mike,
Congrats on landing that rare pinball game. Looks to be in great shape which is amazing for something that size closing in on 100 years old. Does it still work? If so, how many hours have you already spent playing? 😀
More shiny goodness.....
I just received my grades on some oddball items. The 1977 Cup Lid is the highest graded for any graded lids thus far.

Hiya Chris
Thanx buddy.
I need to unscrew the top and relocate the balls - they're stuck - my take is the game was somewhere turned upside down.
I didn't realize they graded the lids, very cool.
Those are just AWESOME!!!
I LOVE 1976 Hostess
It's the singer not the song - Peter Townshend (1972)
Not even a minute do I buy the whole buh buh buh I'm a man-child japery - Me 2025
I just became aware a few months ago when I noticed that a Rod Carew and Steve Garvey had been graded from this set. I had to get my Bench graded.
Picked up a '52 Bowman Larry Doby to finish a Cleveland Indians set. Most are in the VG/EX range. I'll keep it ungraded, in Pro-Molds.
Received this Bobby today. Probably my favorite card of his. The 71 design coupled with how young he looks…….. and he just won the platinum glove in the AL for 2025.

He’s a young man who works hard to improve his game.
Wow mintonly on the '75 Ryan. I assume it's going to MBA for diamond/gold consideration.
