Are starting in the NFL this week:
Justin - up 14-0 on the hapless Vikes as I write this.
Gabe - Beat out the SS dude for the Brownies
Bo - Bo knows football, just watch what he did last week in one of the greatest comebacks of all time
Marcus - Rightly takes his place as the Commanding QB
What can one say? Oregon is a QB factory……………………
Any other school have that many starting this week? I really don’t know.

That's a lotta pushups.

Justin Fields
CJ Stroud
Joe Burrow

Ohio State Buckeyes - National Champions
Still pretty cool stat that all those former Ducks are starting in the same week
Joe Burrow is not OSU hes LSU where he actually played and Fields is just l;ol
Fire AJ Preller
I didn't even know he played for OSU
He threw 39 passes there and took a ton of extra classes to graduate early so he could transfer and play somewhere else
He is without question LSU lol

Joe Burrow injured his hand in August of 2017 and had surgery which meant he missed the beginning of the season. The myth that has grown up around the injury is that Ohio State was too stupid to keep a Heisman Trophy winner, not true at all. Burrow didn't perform well enough to win the starting QB position and didn't really have the skill set needed at Ohio State, he wasn't much of a runner and not very durable. It's also worth noting that he didn't set things on fire during the 2018 season, it wasn't until his last year of eligibility that he really played well. In hindsight, when he left it worked out well for Ohio State and LSU.
@perkdog has commented on this in the NFL thread, didn't know Burrow played for the Buckeyes and it follows he probably didn't know about the injury in 2017. It furthers the logic he presents to trade Burrow since he seems to be injury prone.

Joe Burrow college stats. Almost 1000 passing attempts less than 40 at OSU.
Burrow was a stud his first year at LSU, he just became superman his second year breaking all time records
Fire AJ Preller
learned everything he knows at OSU.
Burrow was a stud his first year at LSU --- that year was 2018.
Just a comparison between Joe Burrow and his "stud-like" statistics in 2018 at LSU, his first year, compared to the same year for the QB at Ohio State in 2018 that he couldn't beat for the starting job, Dwayne Haskins. Do I have to say any more??
In 2019 during the run to the Heisman Joe Burrow eclipsed the 2018 stats by Haskins and was indeed quite prolific. Why would you post false and misleading things trying to win an argument??

Burrow was one of the best QBs, you can be a stud. Whats even being discussed at this point? Burrow is an LSU QB in the NFL OSU QBs are bad in the NFL and Stroud is the best bet to have an average one at best.
Haskins was bad, Fields is bad, Howard hasnt seen the field, Stroud is average at best, and Burrow is not an OSU QB
Fire AJ Preller
Haskins got killed at a young age. Fields is a good QB. Had some good games for the steelers last year. Stroud broke rookie passing records and was rookie of the year. Burrow is a Ohio State graduate who was recruited by Urban Meyer in 2015. He wasn't good enough to win the starting position over Haskins. Haskins was a Heisman finalist in 2018.
Terry Bradshaw was AMAZING!!
Ohio State Buckeyes - National Champions
The best rivalry in college sports is here on these forums. Burrow said he would like to forget his time at LSU after what Vandy did to them.
Fields has been terrible in the NFL. Stroud had a good rookie year and is average at best now. Sad what happened to Haskins but he wasnt good in the NFL. You can be good in college and not the NFL.
Burrow is an LSU QB and theres no legit argument against it. He played at a time he had to graduate to transfer. Hes said I went to school at OSU and played football at LSU. Great marketing on his part but the stats speak for themselves.
Fire AJ Preller
Two things can be true at the same time. Burrow was a former Ohio State QB AND former LSU QB. Same with Field's. He was a Georgia QB AND Ohio State QB.
Burrow has recently stated that he is still a Buckeye.
Terry Bradshaw was AMAZING!!
Ohio State Buckeyes - National Champions
I'd don't really think anyone is saying Joe Burrow isn't an LSU QB, it's just that it takes work to refute the BS. The insinuation that he left OSU because they didn't realize his talent is wrong. The statement that he had a "stud" performance in 2018 at LSU is wrong. And while I'm at it, your claim that there is no such thing as an SEC fan is also wrong. Look in the mirror.

Fields is OSU not GA just like Burrow is LSU not OSU no matter what he says for marketing.
Judkins would be an example of someone that could claim both Ole Miss and OSU as a full time starter at both not QBs that just rode the bench
Fire AJ Preller
Burrow is not LSU. Fields is OSU. Fields is not GA. Judkins is both Ole Miss and OSU.
I love a good murder mystery. Who dun it?
Seems like Joe has an injury history going back to 2017.
Not his fault with the Bengals but Flacco has shown how to beat the line problems. Just throw it to Chase every play.

He played 5 of his 18 years for the Giants and the other for Minnesota so no not even close

Everyone else on here knows the point I was making.

What point was that?

Based on this thread, as a UCLA fan, I'll take credit for Dante Moore as a Bruin QB! Lol.
Seriously though what schools should take "credit" for a player!? Is it just the last school? Every school? The school they graduate from if they actually graduate? There is some argument to be made that each school plays a part in developing a player. The problem is players now play at 3 and 4 schools. Heck, some might hit 5 if they throw a JC year in there too! Can get sort of confusing!
I would say outside of the state of Ohio 99% of people think of Burrow as an LSU Tiger. Likewise they think of Fields as a Buckeye not a Bulldog.
There is no need to argue about Burrow, based on his numbers at OSU compared to LSU he is and should be considered LSU imo
I bet 99% of Bengals fans dont think of Burrow as LSU lol. Many Bengals fans live in Kentucky.
Terry Bradshaw was AMAZING!!
Ohio State Buckeyes - National Champions
No doubt most people think of Burrow as a former LSU QB, as he led that team to the natty, and he won the Heisman the same year.. Just as most people dont think of Joe Namath as a Ram, or Johnny Unitas as a Charger.
However, Buckeyes fans have every right to claim Burrow. He was raised in southeastern Ohio. The Ohio high school stadium where he graduated from is named ''Joe Burrow'' stadium. Additionally, the Ohio House of Representatives passed a bill to designate a section of highway as ''Joe Burrow'' highway.
He graduated from Ohio State which means he will forever be a 'Buckeye.'' He played just as many seasons for the buckeyes as he did for LSU.
Terry Bradshaw was AMAZING!!
Ohio State Buckeyes - National Champions
Fair enough, I didn't know he was an Ohio kid or had all those connections made in his honor
Pretty cool they honor him like that, I had no idea
It sounds like Ohio has this one and unless LA is going to rename a swamp or something he’s OSU.
So now where at the point where it matters where a kid grew up? So I guess Texas, Albama, Georgia, North Carolina, California can just claim basically everyone?
Bengals fans consider Burrow a Bengal and would tell you hes an LSU guy with Chase. Only a very minuscule percentage of OSU fans are trying to claim him.
Its not the schools that really ever try and claim guys, GA couldnt care less about Fields. Ole Miss couldnt care less about Judkins when he left even though he played more years and had more carries there than OSU.
Its the fans trying to be look how good we are that do it. Brady isnt going into the HOF as a Buc, and Darnold isnt a Jet. The Judkins type cases whatever, but its just sad when its to the point of he attempted 30 something passes for my team
Fire AJ Preller
Do they have a section of highway named after them?
Except that Burrow himself disagrees with you as he identifies as a Buckeye. He stays in contact with Ryan Day and Mickey Marotti, as well as former Buckeye teammates. He played in 11 games as a Buckeye over two years. He will always cherish his ring and heisman at LSU.
Terry Bradshaw was AMAZING!!
Ohio State Buckeyes - National Champions
No he doesnt. He says stuff for his marketing especially since he plays in Ohio. IHe threw almost 40 passes so congrats on the OSU QB to be good in the pros I guess. This is just crazy sad trying to claim him and you should actually listen to what he says on podcasts not when hes doing marketing
Fire AJ Preller
Joe says OK.
What I don't get is how someone can be so daft to not know that the entire sports forum is mocking him about this.
