Mike Greenwell died of Cancer

Mike Greenwell from the Red Sox died today of Cancer. While I was a Yankee's fan, my cousin was a huge Red Sox and Mike Greenwell fan. I think he was able to get every card that came out of him. We would split boxes of 1990 Topps, and if I got a Greenwell card, I would give it to him, and if he got a Mattingly, he would give it to me. That is the only late 80s/ early 90s set I kept.

Never got the respect he deserved
    A bit like Greg Jefferies
Very good pro career that was overshadowed by sky high expectations and failure to live up to hobby hype
Career .300 plus hitter with more than 25 career war
Better than Joe Carter and Cecil Fielder careers for example
    RIP Mike Greenwell

Always looking for 1993-1999 Baseball Finest Refractors and1994 Football Finest Refractors.

    Great Greenwell collection.

Say, I went on eBay to find an autographed Topps Archives or modern throwback, certified card - but could not find one. Did he ever participate with Topps in doing any ON-CARD certified autos since he retired?

If not, I wonder why he wouldn't be in a Fan Favorites set or perhaps they are all sold?

Rest in Paradise, Mr. Greenwell - you were one heckuva a ballplayer!

    Enjoy your collection!

I wish it was easier to discern but the 1986 Sportflics multi player with Greenwell and Canseco is one of my all time faves.
