Should the Chiefs be concerned?

The Chiefs are 0-2 and Philly just seems to be unstoppable in the NFL. Do you think we've seen the last of the Chiefs winning Super Bowls?

This is frustration boiling over right here, great teams that are used to winning.

For a comparison, Brady once went 10 seasons between winning a Super Bowl. He won one in 2005, and the next one in 2015.

Mahomes is only 30 years old, and if he's got the desire, then he still has a lot of football left in him. Certainly a chance to win some more, and for the Chiefs to win some more, if Mahomes stays with the Chiefs which he most likely will.

The problem in my opinion is Andy Reid. I doubt very much if Andy will win another Super Bowl because of his age and poor physical condition, and I think it's an easy call. Let's tell it like it is, the body feeds the brain thru exercise and proper nutrition, and Andy obviously does neither. Losing one's total cognizant ability to strategize in a dog eat dog game like NFL football, can mean a huge difference in wins and losses in a season.

Sorry to say if the Chiefs don't improve, this may be Reid's final season in the NFL. However i think that would actually help Mahomes and the Chiefs to possibly win another one with Mahomes at the helm.

Their offense is strapped without a long game. Who should Mahomes throw to besides Kelce or Thornton? I think they knew they’d be in trouble until Rice comes back. I wouldn’t count them out, it’s a very long season.

  • perkdogperkdog Posts: 32,308 ✭✭✭✭✭

    Yes they should

Aside from Rice and Worthy being out, Patrick Mahomes is their leading rusher

That's what would concern me however last year how many breaks wen't their way?? I think they went 15-1 with Mahomes? a LOT of those games they win by the skin of their teeth, it all. might even out this season lol

any team starting 0-2 should be concerned.

I hear a lot of talk about rice being the savior. he will not have played in a pro game in over a year, right? and coming off from a significant knee injury, will he be the same player?

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

They've got the Giants next, Russ was cooking last weekend, they better not take them lightly. If they go to 0-3, the stuff is really going to hit the fan. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go read my favorite fairy tale and have a nap.

1-2 and them Baltimore? Yes it’s concerning but not a must win this early

teams that lose their first 3 games miss the playoffs 98% of the time

come on, lose to the Giants this weekend. then lose to the Ravens the following week. go 0-4 to start the season and let's see what happens just for funsies

A bit of advice to Chiefs fans, if I may. Try to look on the bright side, things could always be worse, you could be a Jets fan. The last time they went to a Super Bowl we were still six months away from Neil Armstrong walking on the moon. Just look at their Super Bowl trophy, it's ancient.

I must say, I'm proud of my Panthers, we're having one hell of a season.

  • perkdogperkdog Posts: 32,308 ✭✭✭✭✭

That loss last night to. the Jags was a tough one, I thought they would start rolling after getting Worthy back but I guess smashing Baltimore doesn't mean much

  • craig44craig44 Posts: 11,898 ✭✭✭✭✭

    Andy Reid losing the magic?

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

  • stevekstevek Posts: 30,772 ✭✭✭✭✭

Mahomes certainly hasn't been playing his best football.

That is obviously a big concern.

After they lose to Detroit this Sunday the concern will be at a fever pitch lol

  • galaxy27galaxy27 Posts: 8,886 ✭✭✭✭✭

they're 2-3 and just lost a game they shouldn't have, but their O has shown marked improvement the past two weeks and they're about to get Rice back

they may end up being a wild card team who no one wants to play

but if their season does end in week 18 that would be something

  • craig44craig44 Posts: 11,898 ✭✭✭✭✭

i read somewhere that their playoff odds at 2-3 are around 30%

I anticipate a loss to DET this week. that puts them at 2-4. that shrinks the odds even further.

a team will need at least 10 wins to make playoffs, right?

that means they would have to go 8-3 the rest of the way assuming they lose sunday. that sounds like a stiff ask

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

Like I playfully told my late wife back in 2019, people get sick and tired of seeing the same team in the Super Bowl four out of five (Patriots at the time) and in the Chefs' case, five out of six times! Maybe it's again time for someone else to clinch this year's AFC pennant for a change!

At least they HAVE a Lombardi trophy! As opposed to say, the poor Seattle Mariners who are the only MLB team to never appear in even ONE World Series! Or the poor Phillies who had to wait NINETY SEVEN years to win even ONE World Championship!

I know what Jets fans are going through, believe me, it's hard being a Panthers fan. I've had to resort to some pretty desperate things just to stay sane. For instance, my black market Super Bowl 50 hat, bought it in a dark alley late at night from a dealer.

    DD - Panthers at 3-3.

Are you going to attend the ticker tape parade in Charlotte on Tuesday?

We're hot, and Cam Newton played lights out today, I'm on cloud nine, no, cloud ten. Uh oh, I think I just spotted Jerry Jones in the distance, and he's not happy!

Four wins for a Panthers fan is a dream come true, as far as we're concerned, we've already had a successful season.
