Set Registry composition no longer accepting team cards

When did PSA change the guidelines such that for player master set registry compositions, they no longer add team cards when the player is pictured on front and the associated name is printed/listed/specified on front and/or back of the card? It seems like a recent development. I have not been able to find anywhere on the PSA website that posts a revised version of the PSA set registry inclusion rules that would supersede the version that is still posted and is the one that has pretty much always been in place. I've recently had a lot of requests for composition additions denied with the following email:

"does not qualify for the set for the following reason:

The item does not meet the guidelines for the requested set."

This message contradicts the rules on the site, so I am curious if anyone has any information about new guidelines?

My guess, which of course could easily be wrong, is that set registry composition additions have now been sourced by PSA to AI instead of human employees, and if the data specs associated with the cert number does not include the player's name in the card description title (e.g., "XYZ Team" as opposed to "First Name Last Name"), then AI automatically kicks it back, where otherwise with human auditing then maybe the person would have looked at the card rather than the specs and seen that the player and name were on the card?

I had a team card added a few months ago.
I have a couple more pending from August slot request.
    Curious to see what happens.

    Question

Do TCG folks , especially the young ones, care about a registry?

Probably there are only a few sets that people would be interested in competing over.

It's all cards from the 90s and up. There are more than enough high grade examples.

The people who liked the game and played their cards are kinda getting shafted by the people who kept boxes in their closets.
