in 1997, Greg Maddux pitched 232.2 innings

he had more wins (19) than unintentional walks (14) that season

and he tossed a complete game against the Cubs...........in 78 pitches

my fav pitcher to watch, he was. the wiffle ball movement on those 90-mph fastballs mesmerized me. dude painted corners like he was Picasso on the mound

you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet

"In the 1989 National League Championship Series (NLCS) Game 1, San Francisco Giants first baseman Will Clark dominated Chicago Cubs pitcher Greg Maddux, going 4-for-4 with two home runs, including a grand slam, after allegedly lip-reading Maddux tell his manager, "Fastball in". This incident with Clark's observant play led to a significant moment in baseball history, as it may have inspired the widespread practice of pitchers covering their mouths with their gloves to prevent revealing pitching intentions."

Perhaps his most significant accomplishment. ;)
