Pretty Nice Replica/Magazine Auction Purchase

From the auction photos, I figured I could get at least 1k out of the cards after grading, as PSA 10s of many of the stars can go for $100-$200 as many have low pops and they are appealing, especially to player collectors. I couldn't wait to get the cards home to see what all was in this large lot. I could see from the photos that a good portion had never made it into a magazine as they were laying perfectly flat in a large pile, but I could only see a portion of the cards that were in the lot. As it turns out, even the sheets that were folded in half were never in a magazine either as they had no staple holes. This is going to be a lot of pics but I wanted to share some examples of some of the better sheets (there were multiple copies of most of the sheets, including 40 of the '89 SCD Griffey rookie (so 40 of the Bo cards since he is on the opposite side of the Griffey), 21 of the '90 SCD Jordan, etc....I plan to cut and submit these in smaller lots over the next year or so...a couple Griffeys, couple Ryans, couple Bo, couple Jordans, etc...I suppose if I submitted all 40 Griffeys at once I could probably assure myself of getting a handful of PSA 10s, but submitting them in smaller groups avoids the potential G.O.D. and most likely ensures that multiple graders will grade the lots over the next year or so...there are only like 360 total graded of the '89 Griffey, so the pop report will surely go up over the next year...hope these cards appeal to some out there...i think the magazine cards are cool

Nice haul. I'm jealous. Love the oddball magazine cards.
WAY MORE than 1k on those, even before grading.

yeah, with the condition these are in, it will go a good deal above 10k I would imagine...if I only get 5 10s out of those 40 Griffeys, that's 5-6k right there...9's go for 150 or so...then the 21 Jordan cards, 100 or so Bo Jacksons, etc...will commence the paper cutting sometime soon and send in a lot of 20 or so, with a good mixture of players...crazy part is what I paid for the box of 500-600 sheets of these cards...

Ok, now I'm just mad. LOL That's a dream find.
Players not named Griffey, Jordan, Bo, Rickey, or Nolan are tougher sells.
And even in a 9, you'll be lucky to break even on some of those, but still, the thrill of the chase.
I would even consider keeping some in panels also.

You may be surprised at what player collectors (I assume) will pay for players you didn't list, most likely because the pops are so low on most of these magazine cards, especially in PSA 10 -- I will definitely sub Montana, Rice, Lemieux, Gretzky Thomas, etc...thanks for checking out my post

I have no experience with these things, so I'm curious....

How do you properly cut these, especially with grading in mind? What kind of paper cutter?
