Awesome attitude for someone in a coin forum. Its almost like you trying to diminish my excitement bout what i find of value.. guess what, there was a time when i had so much money, id buy things like these, so i mean, if you know anything about coins, people will pay what they want for them. Not a great thing to say to people in a coin forum. Its a backhanded statement, while trying to appear non antagonistic.
As Mint errors go, minor laminations are not very rare or valuable, so to many people, it would only be worth 1 cent. To some, it might be worth a few dollars. More than half of all recently sold Lincoln cent lamination errors on eBay went for $10 or less. If that level of profit is worth your time, list the coin on eBay and take whatever you can get for it. Be sure to use the cheapest possible shipping option or the shipping may eat up most or all of your profit. Also keep in mind that eBay takes a 13% cut of your total sale price, plus a $0.70 fee per listing, if I remember correctly.
Man i gotta ignore all these negative people, ur like the 5th person to be negative like this and its getting really old. idk how you think your opinion about this is going to help me. You might not think selling cent errors are worth it, but ive sold a lot of coins on facebook market place/offer up in my town. Not every coin gets sold, but that goes the same way on ebay! You telling me this does not help me though cause really it doesnt even apply to actual reality. I think its fun, i turned two quarters, and 3 cents that I found in circulation, into 60 bucks. I sell by lots to make the coins more appealing to buy, and i dont have a job so idk why you worried about whats worth it to me, and whats not.
You kind of say that like its a bad thing i think making money off of my knowledge is not worth time especially when i dont have a job… and i didnt know i needed to tell you my life story. Sorry but this negativity is not my style..
Wow… some maturity. I never thought id get it here. Thanks! You are awesome. Im sure your a great friend. Bye
You asked a straight-forward question (Would anyone have any idea how rare this is, or have a price guide to give me an idea on fairness?) and received a straight-forward, non-judgemental, correct answer
and you're pouting about the answer. You're not going to last long here. If you wanted an example of a:
he could have said something like "It takes a lot of confidence to present yourself as a hobbyist while trying to turn a profit off others’ naivete and the knowledge shared here while eschewing anyone's requested opinions."
How many opinions with 100% consensus will you need to receive to realize that the responders are not the problem...maybe it's you?
