What coins do you own that aren't part of a set and why?

Just as the title asks. This question mainly towards people who set build rather than those that just collect more opportunistically?
As an example. I collect Shillings as many of you know. I try my best to not buy a lot of stray pieces so I can focus the bulk of my financial abilities on the areas I need it most. Occasionally I still end up with a couple standalone pieces.
Here's a couple examples:
This crusty 1911 Sovereign was left to me as a gift from my grandmother-in-law once she passed away.
This is a token from Cork Ireland where I live for a bit over three years. I am especially fond of it for having CC on it which is my wife's initials.
I am not sure I could tell you why I own this other than it was cheap and I thought it was cool. I also just generally wanted to own an ancient since many non-collectors find them interesting.

None anymore all the coins I have are for sets (date series). Took me a few years to get my focus on sets and not buy anything else. I will stick with date series collecting moving forward. Cost to much to be all over the place at least for me and my type of budget.

I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.
Here’s one I completely don’t “need”, but I had to buy it anyway. It’s a uniface splasher of the 1933 New Zealand florin.1933 is the first year for NZ coinage, so I think it’s important, and the kiwi is adorable.

That's awesome! Where did you manage to pick it up?

1914 Canadian gold $5 - got it at melt, graded MS63. The rarest of the Canadian gold six coin set from 1912-1914.
It’s from a 2014 Baldwin’s auction.

I got this cute little Alexander the Great drachm a few years ago, thinking it could lead into more ancient collecting. But I just haven’t been feeling ancients, and this is an odd one out in my collections. This was an NGC choice XF, but I cracked it out when I got it because I wanted to image it at a time when I was only shooting raw coins. Anyway, Accepting offers on it.

I have quite a few, like a lot. Main reason is when I went to a show I would first check the binders/boxes for what I was really collecting at the time. Then I would look at everything the dealer had and pick out what I thought were just really nice coins and just put them away.
This is a group I bought may years ago from a dealer in Texas and just got them graded in the last year or so, they all graded 67 a couple could have gone higher I think. They are really something in hand. I could not pass them up at the time. Only coins I own from the Central American Republic.
Spain 1729 SP 1R, NGC MS-66. I was previously intending to put together a high-quality denomination set but never allocated the budget to it.
I bought it real cheap in 2002 or 2003, but lately this design in this type of quality seems to be a lot more expensive.
I decided to have a box of 20 “randoms” about 5 years ago. I have 11 slots filled in it just now. It has those coins that I want but can’t fit into a set or theme. Drool worthy coin that I just can’t bear to let go! Two super artistic coins, a few super toned coins, a Texas half dollar since I lived there, a coin I bought on my first trip with my wife, or like a poster above I have my single Tyre Shekel ancient (since it’s just cool to have an ancient), etc etc. Tastes can change too, so I have sold/replaced a few of them over the years.
Here's one that's not part of my primary set. It's an early crude Durango 8 Reales from the War of Independence period. Why? Because it's bloody awesome, that's why. Super heavy planchet, as well. 39.3g Thanks again to @MrEureka for holding onto it for about a decade before parting with it last year.

I got this 1983 Mexico medal just because it has the images of all the three mints that minted the 1984 Mexico coins:
