Ridiculous Ebay Listings

These listings are ridiculous. Are they legit? I know anyone who bids on these is stupid beyond belief, but why does EBay allow it? And why do they exist in the first place? Money Laundering? Should there be a law against stupidity?

I've seen these before, and I always hope that people won't be dumb enough to spend money on the items.

You scratched the surface.
Paper money eventually returns to its intrinsic value. Zero. Voltaire. Ebay coinbowlllc

"eat shrimp and spit out the scales" ?? haha
These just sit there on Ebay. Someone is paying for this listing. I suppose when they want to make some drug money disappear, they can use a secondary account, buy the coin. But why not just use bitcoin instead?
"Unique Quality" is in the eye of the beholder.
Buy it now, before it becomes circulated!
You can't do anything about it.

The very rare "Sideways Minted" Quarter Dollar Error.
In Cod We Rust.
This post seems better suited for the US Coin Forum.
That quarter listing title is too funny.

SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY

Seems to be getting worse. I'd say there are about 15% of listing are complete garbage or flat out lies. It's rare to actually find a coin worth pursuing on the website. Sure would be nice if they DID CARE!

In the old days you had to pay listing fees but no longer (for most sellers).
I've long suspected that some of these listings (the ones that sell) are for money laundering. The focus is on the seller making the money and paying the taxes, not the buyer who is paying absurd amounts for pocket change. The seller declares their windfall to the IRS and the money becomes legal.
I have an ebay account but I never sell and rarely buy anything from them. Ebay is sleazy!
I love eBay.
I paint 40k models and people usually pay whatever price I put for painted models. Really is great to get global reach like they offer.

Another Rare NO DATE Indian
I wonder how they get around this:
Listings for ungraded coins and currency or raw currency:
Also Chinese fakes are EVERYWHERE!
People are buying them and leaving positive feedback
Not actual people. most likely botnets and fake accounts

I didn't realize that the folks who list all the error ("L" near the rim, In Cod We Trust, No MM, Filled MMs, and dryer coins) coins were so lucky to find them. Most of the listings have either no sales or zero feedback but, boy do they have the rare coins!!! And doesn't accept returns! A bonus!! eBay has really slid downhill over the years.

Valuable coin + Wonderful First listing photo

answer: Yes, shipping is free and fully insured. For payment, I use PayPal Goods & Services, which provides full buyer protection and ensures the transaction is safe for both of us. Once the payment is completed, I will immediately arrange shipment and provide you with tracking details.
Question: Thank you for that information. Your ad picture shows the mint presentation box with the mint encapsulated gold coin. But your other pictures show the coin as presented in a professional grading capsule. They are two different coins with regard to depicting the actual item. Opinions? thanks

The pictures all show the same coin. I only changed the position when taking close-up shots to show more detail. Please check the photos again, the coin is exactly as described, with original packaging and mint encapsulation.
Addendum to my above comment. Just got this from fleabay.. That seller got hacked or is a fraud.. Vigilance folks !!

Prisons are already overcrowded enough as it is. Imagine trying to criminalize stupidity. LOL
