What's your definition of a PM stacker?

How do you define a true stacker? By quantity of PM's accumulated? By quality of PM's accumulated? Is there a universally accepted definition of a stacker? What say you?

Purchase of more than one piece of silver (one piece is not a stack) that was procured to protect against loss of dollar purchasing power. One that has a collection of silver coins is a collector, not a stacker. One who speculates with silver prices strictly for profit is not a stacker, he is a speculator.

I define a stacker as being someone who buys physical precious metals in the form of bars, coins, rounds, scrap, etc on a regular basis without regard to any collector premium over the bullion value. Being a stacker does preclude one also being a collector of rare coins or rare vintage bullion bars, rounds, etc that is worth a premium over their bullion value.

I’d say a stacker is more focused on quantity over quality. By that definition, I am not a stacker - I have a collection. It is stackable however.

    That’s 100% me.
I’m more of a collector, but a lot of the stuff I own could be considered a “stack“
