French Normandy beaches commemoratives

Last year the French Mint issued five quarter-ounce gold commemorative coins, one for each of the Normandy beaches where allied troops landed in 1944. Was just wondering whether anyone on this forum bought one and, if so, whether they were satisfied with the quality?

I don't know about these but all my French mint products (25-30 coins) have been first class. I did not know they minted these. Only 500 per coin. I was actually at Normandy on US Memorial Day in 2024 and spent time in Paris beforehand. I would have bought a set! Looks like they are hard to find now.

Looks like Monnaies de Paris is still selling the 1/4-ounce gold coin for Sword beach at 990 euros, but I think the other beaches are sold out.

I’m kinda interested in the 2023 Libertas Americana gold coin, but the French Mint is not shipping to the USA right now due to the tariff confusion.

I agree. Paris Mint products have always been of the highest quality, and most with beautiful designs.
