What would you expect to get selling 40% halves per coin?

Thinking of selling my stash of 40% halves. Apmex gave me an offer of $1027 for 200 of them. Not a ton of money, just taking up space in my box. That seem about right or should I look elsewhere? I don't really want to go the CraigsList route - just too busy to deal with that at this time. So - sell now or keep waiting for it to cross $50...and maybe end up back at $25 again? Feel like I've seen this story before.

Sounds like a fair offer to me. Since they are taking up space. Guess it is up to you, depending on how long you want to ride the silver train.
0.1479 oz/half * 200 halves = 29.58 oz of silver.
29.58 * $41.05 = $1,214.26
Check my math.

Regardless of where you sell, keep in mind that 40% halves typically trade at a reduced premium relative to their bullion.

Yeah, many places won't even touch 40% halves, 35% war nickels etc. I'm actually shocked APMEX offered to buy. I would take that deal in a nano second and not look back. RGDS!

Has anyone here done business with Pure?

yes, very similar to selling to someone like APMEX but stronger prices. They will send you an echeck a few days after you deliver the coins to them and they give you a free FedEx insured shipping label. You pay about a 1% fee from the buy price offered on the website.

It's a little low but hardly outrageous.
A lot of buyers discount 40% to well under market values which I believe is 1110 to 1125 at $41.
There is definitively a scarcity of nicer 40% developing. It's not just Gem and chBU but even nice XF's are getting fewer and farther between. Accumulations of these tend to be unattractive.
