Guy brought this in today, wants to sell, said, his mother bought years ago from mel fisher shop in florida, but NO paper work, coa, or info.. Some type COBB, It looked genuine, but not my area of expertise. Value?

Nice looking Potosí 8 reales, PR assayer which I think is dated 1596 -1621, sure looks like a nice Grade 2 or even Grade 1 Atocha coin. Those seem to be going for 3k - 5k with all the paperwork. Hard to say without the paperwork, certainly no less than $500. Really nice coin, I've been getting into these more lately.
