2015 D Jefferson Nickel - WAFFLED NICKEL OR NO WAFFLE?

I found this 2015 D nickel yesterday while doing a CRH search of a box of nickels. At first I thought it was a waffled nickel. After a closer look I saw 3-creases on each side and the direction of the creases are not at same angle as the other side. The coin looks to be bowed (Waffled), but the size of the waffle on the coin is very slight. Kinda looks like another High School shop project to me. I was hoping that I had actually found a Waffled nickel in circulation. Post your thoughts and thanks for looking.

Not like any waffled coin that I have seen. A waffled coin has a corrugated look.
Some sort of PMD but what I wouldn’t want to guess.

I have never seen a waffle that looked like that either. I agree with @Greenstang about it being post mint damage.

It looked like a waffled nickel at 1st glace, but it has a different look to it.

Probably someone just testing out a new tool. It also looks like a school shop project.

That is the first "fake" waffle I have ever seen. That is a cool piece.

Why would anyone try to fake a waffled coin - I guess because they can and they are tired of playing video games.

It looks like a possible but I really the person that did this was just passing idle time and wanted test shop equipment.
