I just mailed in a regular world submission which was received last week and is working its way through the PCGS system.

The turnaround time is posted at 35 days. Anyone have any recent benchmarks? And, how are TrueViews looking these days?

Submission was done at a show. Submission entered on 7-25 and grades posted on 8-7 and were returned on 8-9

Ah, CK must have connections as mine were dropped at Baltimore and have grades back on 8 with 16 not yet graded and none in hand - although 8 of the coins in the second are not known or published other than in the Royal Collection....

World Economy sub received 24 April. After 3 months of nothing, I wrote to Customer Service. Finally in Grading now.

Same with a US Special Issues sub except they’ve been in Grading for the 3 months.

I can’t ever remember PCGS being this slow.

    @7Jaguars

My economy/quarterly special is still pending. I did not initially include that one in my response because it technically is not a Regular submission.

I submitted under the Q2 Special (grade 5 for the price of 4). It was received 5/15 and grades available 7/10.

The inevitable resultant mechanical error was then received by PCGS 7/28 and shipped back 8/6.

This was collectors club economy submission 5 for the price of 4. I sent in 15 coins. Decent turnaround for sure. My last four have been really good, in fact:

Thanks all for the info. Seems a little hit or miss, though better overall then a couple years ago.

How have the TrueViews been? Frankly I held off submitting for a long time hoping they would make some progress.

This will be the seventh TrueView image I have posted lately- This is a Sovereign.

I haven't been too impressed with the quality of the trueviews lately.

That Sovereign at least seems reasonable - assuming the color is right. I thought the two Krones you posted earlier looked good, but the Riksdaler was very dark. I guess we will see.

My order has been received, and is "being imaged." I will also note that the order was flagged as a "problem order" because a couple of the coins need oversized holders, which cost more. I called, left a call back number, and got it straightened out later that day. Was pretty reasonable.

Please consider sharing the oversized coins/holders once graded as we do not see them here often

Yes, I like to see unusual items as well!

I think The Bahamas submissions of mine this last time set them back as what to do if they are not in any catalog and essentially no on-line references other than the Royal Collection. I had to give myself a "You Suck" Award for them (I know, not allowed)......One day they'll make it back. I sent in a reference coin so they could hopefully get it right.

nice looking group- sort of interesting that the auction catalog picture leave somewhat more of a flatter appearance. The TV images look good . Congrats

1626 Halberstadt Taler, my grade was 58, graded 62. I thought it could be uncirculated, but hard to tell weak strike vs. high point wear. There is some color in the protected areas of the obverse and glad to see that was captured.

Outstanding! I'm really liking that bishopric issued taler. Well done.

Here are a slew of Wildmen...

1554 Taler - early date, crude, I was drawn to the potential for color on the reverse. I thought this could grade 55 based on other relatively high grades for circulated early talers. But, got a 50 which is probably pretty close. The coin has been dipped at some point.

(Here is another 50 for comparison)

1600 Taler - I estimated 58, got a 55. This TrueView and the next are two that I don't like for this batch. There is a lot of color that doesn't come through here.

(Here is the only other coin on coinfacts, this one a 58)

    1604 Taler - I estimated 45, got a 53. Pictures here don't capture some nice peripheral color.

1712 12 Mariengroschen - this coin was dipped and had some surface issue on the obverse (the reverse is totally original). So I thought it would either get a 64 or a no grade. I think PCGS split the difference.

1724 Taler - with the Hanoverians as Kings of Britain. I guessed 53 for this one, got 61. Go figure.

1786 2 Mariengroschen - I threw this in on a whim, guessing a 62 and got a 63. This coin is tiny! And the TrueView is great.

Attractive coins... kinda curious about the 1600 Taler and what might restrain this one from 58. As for the 1724, take a good look at the quality of the fields.

    Well played. Congrats
