Recent World Submission?

Bob13Bob13 Posts: 1,559 ✭✭✭✭✭

I just mailed in a regular world submission which was received last week and is working its way through the PCGS system.

The turnaround time is posted at 35 days. Anyone have any recent benchmarks? And, how are TrueViews looking these days?

Submission was done at a show. Submission entered on 7-25 and grades posted on 8-7 and were returned on 8-9

Ah, CK must have connections as mine were dropped at Baltimore and have grades back on 8 with 16 not yet graded and none in hand - although 8 of the coins in the second are not known or published other than in the Royal Collection....

World Economy sub received 24 April. After 3 months of nothing, I wrote to Customer Service. Finally in Grading now.

Same with a US Special Issues sub except they’ve been in Grading for the 3 months.

I can’t ever remember PCGS being this slow.

    @7Jaguars

My economy/quarterly special is still pending. I did not initially include that one in my response because it technically is not a Regular submission.

I submitted under the Q2 Special (grade 5 for the price of 4). It was received 5/15 and grades available 7/10.

The inevitable resultant mechanical error was then received by PCGS 7/28 and shipped back 8/6.

This was collectors club economy submission 5 for the price of 4. I sent in 15 coins. Decent turnaround for sure. My last four have been really good, in fact:

Thanks all for the info. Seems a little hit or miss, though better overall then a couple years ago.

How have the TrueViews been? Frankly I held off submitting for a long time hoping they would make some progress.

This will be the seventh TrueView image I have posted lately- This is a Sovereign.

I haven't been too impressed with the quality of the trueviews lately.

That Sovereign at least seems reasonable - assuming the color is right. I thought the two Krones you posted earlier looked good, but the Riksdaler was very dark. I guess we will see.

My order has been received, and is "being imaged." I will also note that the order was flagged as a "problem order" because a couple of the coins need oversized holders, which cost more. I called, left a call back number, and got it straightened out later that day. Was pretty reasonable.

Please consider sharing the oversized coins/holders once graded as we do not see them here often
