1984 NFL star Glossy Dan Marino

As you can tell I am a Dolphin fan and Dan Marino is my favorite player. Topps produced 3 Marino cards in 1984, card number 123 and 124 and the NFL Star glossy #3. the first two are the regular card #123 and the In action card number #124. They are found in the regular set, and all unopened material from Topps for the 1984 set (cello, grocery, wax, vending and rack).
The NFL star glossy #3 card is ONLY found in the rack packs for 1984. 12 card set found on top of the first section of the rack pack. There are 32 PSA 9's and 3 PSA 10's of this card. For SGC, there is no 10's, 1 9.5 and 2 9's. For reference there are 4500 PSA 9 of card 123 and 420 PSA 10's. The PSA 9 #123 sells for around $350. SGC is in the same ball park.
Today, SGC awarded me an SGC 9 for my 1984 NFL STAR GLOSSY #3 (my card is included in the pop 2 of the SGC 9). Really psyched about it. on 130 point there are 2 sells listed for the star glossy psa 9, one in 2018 for $200 and one in 2016 for $350. Personally i haven't seen a sell for a 9, 9.5 or 10 in almost the same amount of time.

Congrats!...that is a very tuff card
SWEET!
That's one I would never sell.
thanks guys...
congrats. i grew up a patriots fan, but always enjoyed watching dan. best arm talent i ever saw. i think elway had more raw speed, but all around, i think dans arm was better.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
and a passing leaders card and 2 Topps stickers.
I could mimic Elway by throwing as hard as I can at my brother 10 yards apart. I could ever mimic Marino's release.
Yep. I picked the main cards, but those items are nice too.
Congrats. Nice card. For reference, at least 30K more #123 submitted through PSA alone.
That is a huge card! Congrats! I always loved that one and the 85 one which is red. Thought they both were under appreciated..
