This month is my 24th anniversary on the forums. So here’s a “pick your prize” giveaway. Random drawing on or after my actual anniversary date (August 17, 2025).

Totally free to enter, with free worldwide shipping.

To enter:

Go view my Giveaway Gallery:

https://www.colleconline.com/en/collection-items/21292/coins-giveaway-gallery

Post an entry here, stating which prize you would prefer.

State why you chose what you did.

NOTE: That last bit is important. To qualify, you have to not only pick a prize, but also say WHY you picked it. Just a few words will do.

However, if you are entering on someone else's behalf, you are not required to pick a prize or say why. Your designated proxy will get to pick their choice later, if your entry wins for them.

If you win, please post here after you’ve received your prize, so we’ll know you got it.

Roman Empire: ca. 177-192 AD silver denarius of Commodus, Roma reverse. Roman coins are cool. A great coin to donate to our club YN program.

Are the options under the green coins tab or the pics below including the shark teeth?

The green “coins” tab is merely a tag that shows all coins on the site (mine and other people’s).

The 45 items below (including the shark teeth) are the prizes in my Giveaway Gallery (the page you landed on).

I would pick the 1945 S Jefferson or the seated quarter, the seated because it is cool and I do not have one of those, the nickel because I am a nickel nerd lol.

Can you tell me a little about the 1921 German coins though? Interesting look/finish on those.

If you click on the individual listings for the German porcelain coins, there’s a description field with all of the info I have about them.

Congrats on your milestone, Rob! You've been a numismatic presence throughout my collecting journey and have added to the enjoyment and knowledge.

I'll put my hat in for the Snaggletooth tooth. Why? Because my 5 and 7 year old boys would think it's the coolest ever and it will create some special time together as we research it.

    I pick this one

I picked it because it would go well with this coin I already own as the start of a type set of ancient coins where I would include one coin from each 100 year period.

@Mr_Spud - a “one per century” collection of ancient and medieval coins is a worthy endeavor!

Jersey: 1933 bronze 1/12 shilling of George V (PCGS AU55)

While maybe a stretch, it would hold an immediate sentimental factor because my grandfather was born in 1933 and I live in (New) Jersey.

The 1896 Morgan. It has a patina that doesn't exist in my collection. + I want to VAM it! Congrats on your anniversary.

I would also pick the Greece (Ionia, Miletos): ca. 550-490 BC silver 1/12 stater; lion and stellate pattern, because I'm a sucker for ancient silver and working on a set of the different denominations. Congrats on 24 years! - I've only been here a meager nine years.

I would pick the 1873 silver quarter. I would enjoy having this in my collection as I don't have a seated quarter.
    Thanks,

    Ji

I would pick the Morgan/Peace dollar pair as the old silver combo is always a winner! :)

Thanks for the chance! If picked, I would love the 58-D Frankie for my 7070.

    Thx for the contest!

When I win ;) I'll gladly take the white porcelain German token, because I love the 1920s Meissen porcelain tokens made during the hyperinflationary era.

Congratulations on your longevity. I have enjoyed reading your posts. My choice if selected would be for one of the shark teeth. It would be an interesting gift for my ten-year-old Grandson.
