Saw a tweet earlier that WR Luther Burden got tossed from practice by Ben Johnson today but didn't follow up to see if true or not. Did the rookie wideout go loco out in this heat?

he's had a hammy that kept him out of OTAs, minicamp, and the first four days of training camp. as a result, he's behind and consequently making mental mistakes that are holding the team back. and royally pissing Johnson off in the process. by all accounts he kicked him off the field today and berated him.

no idea how this season is going to play out, but i love Johnson's no-nonsense style

Except for the bottom feeders, I think this season's Super Bowl winner is wide open.

The Bears at 40-1 are not out of it in my opinion.

Between all of the pieces that they brought in on offense, especially OL, and Johnson being the next great offensive mind on the sidelines, there should definitely be some improvement. It really depends on how much Caleb develops over last season. His situation is very similar to Maye where both QB's saw some major improvements around then and now just need to show it on the field.

Like everyone else in Chicago I'm very curious about Caleb Williams, year 2 is a pretty good indicator on how they will be going forward

I think he will be fine

I'd be glad to see a team with a defense that outscores the offense.

    Farewell Ryno.

Fine is a good way to put it. Usually you dont want your first overall pick on a team built to win to just be fine though lol

    Fair point lol

I don't know if he will be Elite though, just like we don't know if Drake Maye will be either

It's up. to them to see how good they will be I guess

Mayes a stud if they can ever figure out their offense. Daniels a stud too. Some guys outperform their situations and others are a result of it which is really what Williams did in college. Bears line wasnt great but he holds the ball too long making them look worse than they are, Its too easy for defenses to confuse him as well

I think he will be fine with what they have, but you want better than fine for 1 1 overall. I also think they will be drafting a QB again in the next 2-3 years
