So I went to Fanatics Collectibles in London…..

I was in the UK for a little bit and stopped by the Fanatics Collectibles store. It is located on the “high street” near Trafalgar Square. It is huge taking up 3 store fronts. It is focused on cards with a few auto jerseys in the back. It carries all of the sportscard and non sport boxes Fanatics sells. Not surprisingly, Soccer is the main focus with two exclusive products. There was a lot more baseball than I expected, about 4 showcases worth. Towards the middle of the store was a large graded card area with showcases. In the back was a breaking area and more stuff for kids like make your own slabbed 1/1 Topps card (which looks awesome with the metallic finish)

They were a little tight about taking photos but I snuck a few in. The prices are high, they are basically the same number as US retail prices except in GBP, which means a 35% premium. The graded card prices are very high. A lower end auto LeBron RCs in BGS 8 and 9 for 6000+ GBP. Mostly modern with a few vintage.

There was a decent sized crowd in the store. An R&B singer named PartyNextDoor (ask your kids, he is close to Drake) with his posse to buy boxes. He had a film crew there for his YT Channel. While he was there, he bought a few boxes of Topps Soccer cards for the store to hand out to all of the kids in the store, very cool. He wasn’t taking pics with people but I got one when his crew came in.

Overall I give Fanatics an A+ for execution. This is a flagship store that is very positive for the hobby. Despite the high prices for the hobby boxes, they had a lot of sub 30 GBP products for the casual collector. This was my second favorite
experience in the UK. The first was taking the Penny Lane bus near Paul McCartneys childhood home in Liverpool, a day in the life.
