  Very cool card.

  "My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

  Congrats on the sale! Being a big Maris fan and living just outside the Fargo-Moorhead area I was hoping to make a run at it but the bidding at the end totally blew Heritage's estimate (and my budget) out of the water. . .

  Otherwise, been looking to pick up copies of each of Roger's two '53 F-M Twins postcards for years so if you happen to have unsigned examples of either feel free to reach out.

  Thanks Kory. Wish I had more Maris's, that's for sure. I was definitely pleased with where it ended.
  The lot of other F-M cards is still pretty cheap, ending tonight. Maybe worth going after if you are local, bet they won't come around often.
