Lamination error on 1934 cent?

SuzeSuze Posts: 18 ✭✭

Any thoughts if this is a lamination error and if so possibly is the entire coin actually unlaminated Except for the little stripe on the reverse?
Thanks for any opinions!

Not exactly sure what it is but it is not a lamination error.
Look like there is something on it. In any case it would be considered damage.

  • Its not a lamination error. It is some sort of marker or like MsMorrisine said its probably paint.

No. Some form of applied material. Looks like a piece of masking tape pressed into the cent to magnify, bring up the letters on the surface of the coin.

That's an Interesting move to achieve a result that worked to well.
That's really deep thinking that could be plausible. Smart.
Isn't that special. A wax job on a coin ?
