FS: 1841 Seated Dollar Love Token w Nice Toning

For sale is an engraved 1841 seated dollar with pretty toning on both sides. The engraving work is very well executed. Further research is needed to see what can be learned about the story behind the individual named in the engraving. Seated dollar love tokens are very scarce, especially in early no motto dates. I’m happy to share video and additional images on request. $540 OBO.

OP says he was born 1841, not 1858.

The dollar is dated 1841 but the engraving says born 1858.

Possibly in memory of this child by that name with the correct birthdate who died at age 6:

Thanks to all for your comments. I think @tttwo has probably identified the correct individual. @SaorAlba was also kind enough to send me that info. Of correct, very sad to think it could be for a child who died at 6. While it could be an obituary token, it also could have been created to celebrate the birth of the child. The latter seems more likely to me as there’s no reference to his death on the coin. I have several examples of obituary tokens where they include the date of death along with the date of birth/age at death of the deceased.

Yeah, what look like 7’s are just fancy 19th century 1’s.
Lovely love token!
