World coins manufactured by US mints

Not sure if this thread belongs here or the US side...
So I decided to collect the World Coins Manufactured by Mints of the United States Type Set
It looks like it will be a long term endeavor with many condition rarities and some expensive gold.
I'm kinda new to the world coins outside of Soviet Union that I've collected over the years.
Who would you guys recommend for finding above coins outside of eBay and GC?
Feel free to DM me dealer names if you don't want them posted here...

It's a fun set. I did Pre-WW2 US Minted World Crowns (silver only) to keep it a bit more manageable. I would recommend finding one of the world auction aggregators and using those auction houses as appropriate. Just be mindful interpreting their images.

Attending shows with an emphasis on foreign coins may be your best bet. You may be able to pick up quite a few, at least at first, and avoid having to pay for shipping. Buying one coin at a time through the mail can really run up the shipping charges!
The Mint Error News website has a 69 page report of coins struck by the U.S. Mint for foreign countries.

That's a great idea! I'm going to try for the 387 coin type set personally. I figure it should give me years of hunting...
Do you know what shows have an emphasis on foreign coins?
I'm 23% complete on this set but majority are raw. I'm starting to send in 1965 and newer coins under the Modern Value so I can add them to my registry. Certainly not a lot of people (17 current sets) are building this set.
Unfortunately, I am not up on what shows concentrate on Foreign these days. I'm sure other folks on this board can help. Do another post that asks that question.
Very nice, @lermish ! I like that digital display, also.
@Samets the New York International Coin Show is held once a year in January and has a great selection of dealers from a variety of countries and around the US, focusing on world and ancient coins. It is well worth a trip (maybe make it a vacation if you don't live in the Northeast already.) https://nyinc.info/
Many of the coins you are starting to collect can be found at auction. I would suggest setting up wantlist/keyword searches with Heritage Auctions, Numisbids, Sixbids, etc. to help hunt them down. Happy hunting!
My favorite coins of this category are the 1944 Belgium 2 Francs, struck on the same zinc coated steel blanks as 1943 U.S. cents. It could be argued that 1944 steel cents were madevwith blanks intended for a foreign government.

The collecting concept is worth pursuing… attending shows helps develop the framework of availability and condition rarity. Good luck with your collecting pursuits.
Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
Thanks!
I figure this will take years to put together in PCGS plastic. I'm also trying my best to keep the coins above AU grade. I'd love to add many in AU58 since a slight rub doesn't take away from the original look but it seems many are just very hard to find or prohibitively expensive in anything AU and above.
I'm at 100 out of 387 with 40 coins at PCGS being graded...
