Mexican Revolutionary notes

I came a cross a beautiful pair of Mexican Revolutionary notes, and just thought I would post them here. I am a fan of just about anything that The American Banknote Company produced.

Mexico has some beautiful banknotes. There is a book on the subject it is a great book. So many of the notes are scarce to very rare. There is a 2nd edition that came out a few years ago. If you are looking for a copy PM me I will send you a link were they have some for sale (30$-65$). It is a big book. I own both edition and enjoy looking at the artwork of the banknotes.

I would buy the 2nd edition there are a lot more new banknotes added. The book is in English.

It is about 500 pages. The book is broken by time periods and by banks. There is a good section on their history as well.

If you chose to get a copy buy the colour printer copy (PDF) of the 2017 edition that is what shows off the notes. Black and white is not what you want. Some places will print them out for you I do not know about the USA but here in Canada that is what I had done and put in a binder (different types based on what you like) and I really enjoy it it is like walking threw a museum. I have a printer but not colour.

Beautiful 5 & 10 Pesos from the State of Chihuahua. I don't believe these are from the "Mexican Revolutionary" series since the state only issued banknotes in 1914 & 1915 (according to the BNM).

I bought a 20 Pesos "Mexican Revolution" (P-S537) example & it is large format but doesn't have the printer quality your ABNC note has:

There are a lot of collectors out there who appreciate the ABNC for their old classic banknote designs. Below are 2 links for the Numista entries for the P-S132 5 Pesos & the P-S133 10 Pesos

Thank you for the info and links to that site! Lots of great info there. I will definitely seek out the rest of this series at least, and probably some older notes as well.
