Bolivia 1798 -PTS PP 4R

Just graded and returned. Guess the grade if you like. It is a keeper even though it would likely look better in another collection.
This one graded as I had hoped.

Congratulations, that's a nice coin and it graded a touch better than I had guessed in my head. The true view suggests a fair amount of luster remaining, is that how it appears in hand? Where did you find it? Was it raw before grading by PCGS?
Once again, very nice!

The coin has pleasing surfaces and in my view is attractive in hand. It was purchased raw. I suspect it could be among the finest known for the date and perhaps even for the type.

Thanks for sharing. The 4 Reales are tough to find that nice.
Yes, your coin is easily the finest graded for the date at both TPG's.
However, as far as for finest graded Charles IV Bolivian 4R's overall NGC indicates one each for 1799 in 63 and an 1807 in 64. While PCGS shows an 1808 in 62+ I don't know how the pops are at the other mints.
I have an 1807 Bolivian 4R in PCGS 62.
I have seen images of the NGC 1799
Going only from the images, I would say that I prefer our P62's over the 1799 in N63.
I've not seen the N64 1807 but would be curious to know how it compares to my P62.
I think the 1808 in P62+ is a very nice coin as well.
