Close up images on such small coins can give that affect.

What is wrong with them they are brand new I just put them in the 2 by 2's a few weeks back. The 2 by 2's are also brand new (Mylar). There are some rub marks on the cardboard that I see yes. That is normal. Does not affect the coins. Someone will just have to put them in new sleeves if it does bother them that much. I have seen sellers with much worse with rusty staples and old 2 by 2's (as mentioned these are brand new just got them last month and my stapler/staples are also brand new purchased them about 2-3 months ago).

To explain, it is much preferred to use flat staples. The protruding rounded metal edges shall do damage to the Mylar window and the coin when in contact with another 2x2. You can smash them down OR just buy a flat stapler. Good luck. Peace Roy
