Sick moments in sports history that might have been missed or forgotten, I'll start with this one, Bartolo Colon pitched in parts of 21 Major League seasons and won an American League Cy Young Award, but he is perhaps most famous for his one home run, which came with the Mets in a 6-3 win against the Padres at Petco Park on May 7, 2016. Love this moment.

That was a heck of a moment. And add in the fact he was about to turn 43 when he did it makes it even more amazing.

  • Yes, and he even has his own bobblehead commemorating the moment, and the funny thing is, it's also a bobblebelly, the belly bobbles too! But they're pretty rare, and quite pricey, $250+ on eBay, this collectible ain't no joke!

  • One more interesting fact that people may or may not know.

  • I've decided to turn this thread into highlight reel of some sick moments in sports history that may have been missed or forgotten. This one right here is beyond sick, April 29, 1994, Clyde Drexler's high-arcing finger roll in Game 1 of the Portland Trail Blazers' first round series against the Houston Rockets. I've attempted finger rolls on the basketball court and I can't tell you how incredibly difficult this shot is, if you don't put it in exactly the perfect spot in the air, you're going to look incredibly stupid. This right here is one of the most beautiful shots in NBA history from Drexler.

Dr. J's 1976 ABA All Star Game Dunk contest Dunk where he took off from 3/4 court running full speed and jumped from the free throw line (with Big Afro Hair) flying through the air to slam dunk the ball.

    That was SICK!!!!!

I remember Daryl Dawkins and his dunk that shattered the back board.

I also remember that Dawkins composed these lyrics about his back board shattering dunk:

                                 The Chocolate-Thunder-Flying, Robinzine-Crying, Teeth-Shaking, Glass-Breaking, Rump-Roasting, Bun-
                                 Toasting, Wham-Bam, Glass-Breaker-I-Am-Jam.

I'm sure some would label this moment as 'sick.' One of the most iconic baseball photos of all time. July 9, 1966 Harry Carey in 100 degree heat, announces a Cardinals game at Busch stadium in his underwear.

Today in 1999, Boston Red Sox star Nomar Garciaparra hits Two Grand Slams in a game, he would finish the night with 3 HR and 10 RBI.

Nine years ago today, May 15, 2016, one of sports most memorable fights took place when Texas Rangers player Rougned Odor punches Toronto Blue Jays player Jose Bautista right in the face, boom, direct hit. Looking back at this incident, I must say, Jose Bautista had a granite chin.

This one is hard to top. July 26, 1970. Johnny Bench hits 3 home runs off Steve Carlton in 3 consecutive plate appearances.
The win gave the Reds an incredible 70-30 record, a .700 won-loss percentage, and a 12 1/2 game lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
