WTS 3 higher end gold coins, see description.

Good afternoon folks, I've been quiet on here for some time, the economy has taken quite a toll on my gun shop and we have been in survival mode. I am acting as a proxy to a good friend of mine to get some exposure on 3 coins up for sale, we are open to offers for one or more of the pieces. There are folks here who know me and I have no problem vetting myself for those who need to feel comfortable. Thank you for your time and consideration, have a blessed day!

With that out of the way, here is what is available currently:

1909 O $5 Indian NGC AU58 w/ green bean $19,500

1889-S $20 Liberty Saddle Ridge Hoard PCGS MS 64. $12,500

1879 $4 Stella Flowing Hair PCGS MS 64 w/ green bean. $240,000

Wow, wasn't expecting this when you said "higher end". The Stella is a Trophy coin, absolutely amazing. I would recommend Great Collections or Heritage to move the Stella in auction. Best of luck realizing maximum value on these beauties!

    Stella,definitely Great collections!

  • That is an amazing Stella. I would recommend an auction for a coin of that caliber.

Shoulda' bought that Stella in 1977. My Redbook says I could have picked it up for a measly $22,000. Stunning, hope your friend does well... I'm sure it will do well!

Send all of them to Great Collections

All 3 need to go to auction. The Stella should give you room to negotiate a sellers fee.

The coin and the prospect of joining the Latin Monetary Union were rejected by Congress,[4] but not before several hundred restrikes of the Barber flowing hair design had been produced and sold to Congressmen at the cost of production. These later became a source of scandal when it was noted that a number of them ended up as jewelry pieces adorning the necks of madams operating some of Washington's most infamous bordellos.

    Bordellos

A brothel, strumpet house, bordello, bawdy house, ranch,[2] house of ill repute, house of ill fame, or whorehouse is a place where people engage in sexual activity with prostitutes.

Wow! You weren't kidding about "higher end"!!

As others have already noted, you'll probably do best at auction if you need them sold quickly...

    Best of luck!!

  • Thank you all for the input! I believe we will be getting them ready for auction. Anyone have any insight to using Great Collections vs Heritage? I have never used either, never had anything of this caliber.

Both are top notch outfits and will maximize your value. Your Stella as well as the other 2 coins will do well with either auction house. Great Collections auctions are time based ending on Sundays and charge a 12% buyer commission (10% with e-check). Heritage uses a traditional live auctioneer format and has higher fees. The founder of Great Collections (@ianrussell ) is active on this forum. Mark Feld ( @MFeld ) is a top numismatist with Heritage and also very active on this forum. I recommend you privately contact each of them through the message feature on this forum. Based on the input you receive you have the knowledge to make an informed decision. Good Luck.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that Stella has to be the highest priced coin I've ever seen on the BST
    WOW
