Are there any reports of a 2021 quarter Crossing The Delaware showing the word States misspelled to read as Spates? Such as United Spates Of America. I found one mixed in with my change and after doing research I'm not finding any other reports! Where do I go from here?

  • It is not in perfect condition by any means! If you zoom in you can see that the T looks more like a P. I'm guessing that's not normal.

    Nowhere. ;)

The "T" is a normal "T", but with staining and corrosion on the coin that leads your eye to see it as a "P". Google "pareidolia" for more information.

Just minor damage. There is nothing in the minting process that would cause that.
Devices are permanently engraved into the die so a different letter just can’t occur.
