Need Help Identifying Possible Error on 1978-S Lincoln Penny

Hi everyone,
I found a 1978-S Lincoln penny with what looks like multiple "S" mint marks in different locations. I also noticed some missing and distorted letters on both sides of the coin, along with strange marks on Lincoln's face and hair. The texture of all marks looks the same as the rest of the coin.
Can anyone help me identify if this is a mint error or just damage?
Thanks in advance!

Damage. Nothing more.
Much of it is foreign debris on the surface.
One such thread from today was plenty: https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/1112792/1978-s-lincoln-penny-with-multiple-mint-marks-need-opinions#latest
There was no need for a second one.

that's a lot of random anomalies like in some cases maybe look like something and some caused by the life it's lived
All of the 1978-S Lincoln cents are perfect -- There were no errors.
Well, if you don't get the answer you want in the fist post there is always the second post -
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
Like the great W.C. Fields, the OP reminds us that some things get funnier with repetition.
He also said “If at fist you don’t succeed, try, try again, then quit.”
It’s the weekend already?
And don't post screen grabs - it pixelated the images.

That cent looks gangrenous.
There is no error there. Sorry.

In French it's called: 'D-A-Mage'😀
It is a metal detector find someone put back into circulation is my guess. I put them back all the time looking like that.
The copper in a 1978 cent reacts easily with water and forms these green deposits on the surface.
So if it was on the ground for awhile, this is a normal result.
It is not a "mint error" from when the coin was originally manufactured.
Thank you for the information, What could this noticeable thing that looks like the letter "S."?
could just be corrosion
Corrosion. Looks like it's been in the ground since about 1985.
