Value Question Signed 1972 Kareem Basketball Card is Autheniic, sig just Kareem NM-MT 8

Evening,
Hope to get a little info on a card I'm looking at its Kareem Abdul Jabber Topps #100 signed PSA 1972 (Rookie), the Card is Authentic but way OC, the sig is a Diagonal and in Pen. Seller was asking $1500, but lowered to $600, and I'll try for $500, What does the group think the value would be? I was also told separately that Kareem never signed Kareem after 1972. True?
Thanks for your help

I have a meeting at 10 so I can't post much but please be aware that Kareem's rookie is a 1969 Topps Tall Boy.
Successful card BST transactions with cbcnow, brogurt, gstarling, Bravesfan 007, and rajah 424.
I wish I could help however I don't believe that's his rookie card

That is the first year his name appears as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on a Topps card, but he has 3 previous Topps cards (1969, 1970 & 1971) that were issued as Lew Alcindor.

Don't forget that PSA can in theory pull the authentication of the card auto at anytime if they change their mind at a later date, and then no compensation as the guarantee doesn't apply to auto's. Only mention this due to someone saying he stopped signing Kareem after 1972 (but I guess this could be from then).
Many years ago I bought a signed Clemente postcard, I sent it to PSA for encapsulation. They called and said they had new information and no longer thought the sig was good. They did reimburse me for most of what i paid but that was only after a few long phone calls with Joe Orlando. So yes they can pull the cert, which i found out the hard way.
I've seen a lot more "Jabbar" than "Kareem". I think I have a 73 card just signed "abdul jabbar".
