What Did I Just Buy?

I have been following crusader coins the last few weeks and was planning to purchase a more expensive example.

However I made a low bid on this coin and won it. It's not Cyprus but Italian I think.

The sellers description was vague so I'm wondering - is it a real coin not a fake and if real exactly what is it (and possibly an estimate of it's value)?

Thank you!!

Peace

    Here's one like it:

    image
Crusader Kingdom of Cyprus, gros grande, (AD 1324-1359)
    Silver, 25 mm, 4.63 gm

Hugh IV de Lusignan (AD 1324-1359), King of Cyprus and Jerusalem Mint: Famagusta

    Obverse:
King on throne facing front and holding orb and scepter
B with annulet above in left field
HVGVE - REI DE (Hugh king of)

    Reverse:
Jerusalem Cross with +IERVSALM ED CHIPR (Jerusalem and Cyprus)

The Crusades were over when this coin was minted but Hugh claimed to be the King of Jerusalem anyway.

    :)

Thanks Willie. You posted your coin on the Country of the Month thread for Cyprus which is when I started looking at crusader coins.

The one above was being sold as a Greece coin so I picked up a bargain.

    Aren't these coins cool :)

    Peace
