Larger than life personality and an exceptional boxer. The way he reinvented himself to regain the heavyweight title in his 40s was amazing. The Rumble in the Jungle was one of the greatest fights of all time. RIP.

Ali was 6 or 8-1 odds in the Rumble. A great contest. Named all of his sons George. Said was easier to get them to the dinner table all at once.

The "Rumble In The Jungle" was classic even though it seems Ali grabbed most of the spotlight. I most remember him jogging through the streets with mobs of adoring fans running alongside. Then when the two finally fought it was Big George as he pummeled Muhammad against the ropes, we were witness to Rope-a-Dope!!!

Together, they may have been two of the greatest to ever fight. It's hard to believe they are both now dead. RIP.

shame. George seemed like such a likable guy. I have eaten many a burger cooked on the "george foreman grill!"

I read somewhere this weekend that he made far more from pitching the grills than he ever did by boxing. somewhere around $200MM!!

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
