Hello, I have first dips on purchasing two of these bars. Can anyone school me on which is most valuable, second, and last. Top, Middle, Bottom! Thanks. (https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/editor/iw/e3c9bqg6t1vw.jpg "

Someone else might be, but I'm not brave enough to click on a link from a new/unknown member with only one post. You might have better luck if you get rid of the link and post actual pictures we can see. The only problem is that new members sometimes have to wait a few days before they gain the ability to post pics (at least that is how it was when I joined).

I would buy them in the order you have them pictured. Check out allengelhard.com for some more info on your bars.

I agree. The cast bars would have a little more value. With silver at its current price point though it's not going to make a lot of difference. The main thing is are they genuine, full weight Engelhard bars?

At these current levels, premiums have pretty much evaporated on common bars - especially larger bars like these 100oz.ers. I wouldn’t pay more than spot for that extruded bar. A slight premium for the other two.

  • OK, all good comments, thank you. I purchased the 3 bars, and another 21 like them from a reputable wholesale dealer here in Wisconsin. I placed an order for 83k and the metals came in today. I asked for all Engelhard bars, and was told, he would put in the request and see what happens. I received 22 Engelhard bars and two Johnson Matthey bars. So, 24 100oz bars and 6 1oz rounds - just to round up to 83k, my budget. I paid $34.50 an ounce for 2,406 silver troy ounces.

If you’re referring to who goes in the pool first, then “first dips” counts. But I believe you’re talking about who gets first crack at buying something, so the term should then be “first dibs”, lol.
