MBA (Mike Baker Authenticated) slabs

I came across a few of these on eBay. I know Mike Baker has been in the business a long time. Has anyone here purchased cards graded by MBA and how do you think the grading compares to PSA (current tough standards) and SGC?

I find it useful like PWCC stickers in that it indicates a card which presents well for the assigned grade. I was unaware of MBA slabs, only MBA gold and silver stickers on either PSA or SGC slabs.
I noticed them too mostly because I collected 76's. Is this new or have I just missed them?

Bought a ‘59 Williams in their new slab. It looks accurately graded to me.
I collect Lou Boudreau because he went to the University of Illinois and was a radio broadcaster for the Cubs when I was a kid. He was the manager that came up with the shift so I wanted this card.
It's interesting that the card refers to the Boudreau shift as the 'Williams shift'.

That's what the press coined it because they did it when Williams was batting.
I wanted not to like it but seems like tight grading.

Don’t mind the add on sticker like Monte stated but not interested in purchasing a slab by MBA.
Is this because of any potential deficiencies with the grading (maybe missed trimming or whatever) or more because it wouldn't hold the value of a PSA slab?

Assuming the business grows it will eventually people trained by Mike and not Mike (may already be).
I have bought cards with MBA gold stickers on them and found them to be no better than any other. Just my two cents.

The card I was looking at was a 1952 T Bobby Thomson. MBA 3 with nice centering and corners. It did have some wear on the surface between Bobby's eyes. I ended up as the underbidder.
