Set removal request

I have been trying to add a coin to my reg set for a week now and still no word. I sent a message through the PCGS Reg set site, then I received the coin, took a picture front and back and sent that in. How long does it take usually?

Did you include evidence of the current date when sent? You can take a picture of the slab with a computer screen showing the current date.

Edit to add: Or a copy of a current newspaper as your backdrop.

I have been waiting for over two weeks for the previous owner to release a coin. After receiving the coin I went to add it to my set by sending in the photos to PCGS to prove ownership under the Activity page. Oops error for over a week. PCGS knows there is a problem with the site. I don't like to complain since I have had great dealings with PCGS in grading turnarounds etc., but this one web page not working is careless if not a thumb in the nose to those that use the site.

I've mentioned on other areas of the forums, but in case you missed it, and in case it may apply here -- if the slab is new enough to have the NFC encoding, you can use the mobile app to add it and it bypasses ALL of the other nonsense. I've used it a few times and it is SLICK. Granted, it's about the only thing the mobile app is actually good at, but it WORKS.

Nice to know...I've got the app, but never thought to use it to make my submission.

Is there a contact email that works? Apparently setregistry@collectors.com is not monitored.

I've been waiting for over a month for three coins. Followed up twice so far but that doesn't seem to help.

The jury's still out on whether it actually works or not, but pcgssetregistry@collectors.com is the one they've used when they've actually responded to me.

Where are you in this process?

Did you try and add the coins to the registry and get the message that the coin was already registered and then send a request to have it removed?
If so, has it been 3 days?
If so, do you have the coin in hand so you can take photos of it front and back sitting on a piece of paper with the date on it. ( I have a piece of paper that I put the coin on with todays date on it)
If you have the photos and it's been more than 3 days you can go to the activity page , open it and in the removel request section it should have your request showing. There is a box on the right that you can click on to upload the 2 photos of your coin
Let me know if this works and if you need more help just ask here

Thanks for asking. My timeline was:
Feb 7 - attempt to add coins & submit initial requests
Feb 14 - send obverse & reverse pictures (with dates) to SetRegistry@collectors.com (Activity page loads with an error)
Feb 25 - initial follow up
Mar 3 - second follow up
Mar 13 - success! coins released

Looks like a few other forum posters have had recent luck as well. Hopefully we will begin to see speedier turnarounds again. Prior to the Activity page breaking 2-3 months ago, PCGS had been extremely fast to respond to these sorts of requests in my experience.
