*** The Official March 2025 Precious Metals Buy Sell Trade Thread ***

VikingDudeVikingDude Posts: 1,399 ✭✭✭

If you have any Precious Metal items that you are selling, please post a reply to this thread with description, asking price, shipping and accepted methods of payment. Photos of items for sale are definitely a plus and having your User Profile turned on helps as well.

If you have any Precious Metal items that you are actively looking to purchase, post a reply to this thread expressing what it is you are looking for and what you're willing to pay. Limit posts to things that only pertain to buying and selling; other comments/questions can be messaged privately to the seller/buyer so it doesn't clutter up the thread.

Please do not make any extra threads on this subject matter in the Precious Metals forum.

This one thread will be active for all of March 2025; when April 2025 comes around we'll start a new thread and this one will no longer be active.

Looks like this BST is kind of a fail. $1520 delivered for a 1/2 perfect MS70 certified gold coin and no one wants it... Gold futures at $3070+ right now.

I think stackers typically buy metal based off the spot price and not the futures market. Demand for gold spouse coins has always been very weak and it's up for debate if any will ever carry a numismatic value, slabbed, stickered, MS70'd or whatever. There have been certified pre 33 gold coins offered at spot on this board recently, its just the current market with the metal of kings at the price it currently is. All that said, I am surprised nobody has purchased it yet. Someone will pull the trigger eventually, good news for you spot continues to rise. RGDS!

    Are you a buyer?

Unless their dealers, which I am not, usually people selling PMs are not also buying them unless they are doing a swap of some sort.

Works well for me. Simply treat customers right, offer competitive pricing and give them the best service you can. It helps to take full responsibility and ownership of the merchandise until USPS says "delivered."

You need to check out $20’s on GC. common dates no problem lower grades are netting the consignors a couple hundred or more back of MELT and the $20’s seem endless.

    .

Bullion is pretty liquid and selling via commission is not always the best path for it. It is pretty easy (and commission-free) to sell such coins at a coin show.

its getting tougher. It used to be at a show if you wanted to trade a gold coin for silver you would get a better deal than their cash offer but recently when I asked a guy he said I would have to pay tax on it :D

Taxing on a straight swap ? How would that even work ? Methinks it was his way of refusing to swap without saying so explicitly

As well they might but these dealers are never reporting swaps especially collectable items for bullion .
