Any Auction Wins in the Heritage Auction on Friday and Saturday Nights...

I sat out the auction...but it was difficult not to bid on a number of nice cards. I had eight (8) cards in the auction. My highlight was this 1960 Mickey Mantle PSA-8 which set a record price for the assigned grade at $11,895 (+ sales tax) :

Glad you did so well on the ‘60 Mantle. Didn’t win anything from Heritage had one win from REA.

    Thanks Monte
Congrats on your sales. I was actually following a couple of your cards and this one just grabbed me. Can i ask if you ever sent this card in for review?

Yes…I did send it to PSA for review. It did not bump…I thought it should….and still do.

It does not mean it could not. For example…I purchased a 1969 Reggie Jackson RC PSA-8.5 from Jeff Foy at Card Country. He encouraged me to submit it for review…even though Thunder Dan had submitted four (4) times for review without success. Well…my one submission for review resulted in a bump to a PSA-9!

It is bump worthy…I saw no reason that would cause it to grade PSA-7.5…and hence the PWCC designation.

Congrats on the strong sale. I saw it in the auction and did not know it was yours, but it was very apparent it would sell for s strong price with the centering and strong color and print.

I took a shot at the PSA 8 Bobby Orr Rookie but it ended up selling higher than any 8 ever and I thought I had a good bid in lol!

I took a run at that Orr as well and lost for the 2nd time. Other time I lost was years ago when it was sold on PWCC. It’s a beauty, but I figure probably not worthy of a bump because the bottom left corner wouldn’t justify better than an 8.

The 1971 Hockey and probably the 1972 Football will be broken in 1 of our live streams. The 1968 I’m not sure just yet. If I do, it will be recorded I can’t find any video on breaks of the 1968 Topps Hockey Vending
