Grades Popped today, a Month and a Half ahead of schedule....and I'm NOT furious.
My 80s/90s Special, 16-card sub, popped today.
This sub was sent a couple weeks before my other 13-card sub, yet this one completed first.
Looks like this one stayed in CA, while the other sub was sent to NJ.
Well, the grades are what I expected with a couple (-1) and couple (+1) to what my pre-grades were.
No crazy (-5) grading point head scratchers this time!
(Funny how I can suddenly grade correctly on this sub and be way off in other subs. LOL)
(Did I mention this sub was graded in CA. Hmm....)
Anyway, half of the cards were 1981 Topps Team CL Sheet Handcut cards, and I proudly say, I did a pretty good job.
(3) 10s, (4) 9s, and (1) 6. The 6 I knew was coming because of card position and the fold in the sheet, but needed for my PC.
Others were PC cards. I was thinking 8s for those and they came (2) 7s, (1) 8, and (1) 9.
A couple of CL that got 9s had a shot at 10, but 9 it is. Hard to tell the difference. At least no crazy 3s or 4s.

Framed on my home office wall, I have my childhood 1978 Topps Team Checklist Sheet Handcut Sheet I sent in wrappers and coins to get. I also had 1980 but never any other year...

Great job cutting those cards!

1978 was my first year buying packs....and lots of them.
I had so many multiples of CL, it didn't make sense to send away for the sheet of them. Now, here I am. LOL
With the sheet corners and edges usually damaged and the folds, the sheet doesn't yield a lot of potential high grade cards when cut up. Need to sacrifice neighboring cards sometimes.
Thanks! It was definitely nerve racking.
Congrats on a great sub
