Who collects counterfeit coins?

I have several silver and gold counterfeit coins acquired over the years as a dealer. Would like to sell but want to make sure they end up in the hands of someone who will not attempt to sell them as authentic.

I know a buyer of contemporary counterfeits, contact contemporarycounterfeit@gmail.com
Not sure if they'd be interested in newer counterfeits.

Very cool gold 1915 and 1926. Any idea of the maker? Would icg slab these?

Didn't know ICG would even consider slabbing such coins.

Yes, they will slab them and use their yellow “counterfeit” labels.

Also, Skip over at ICG would probably buy these from you because he uses them in his teaching lectures. I’ve given him a couple whenever I run across them. You can call icg and ask to speak directly with him about them if you want to slab or sell.

I would also be interested in several of these as instructional pieces. I teach classes at Summer Seminar and WCU.

I have a few all CC's. I don't collect them at all. I bought them at a flea market several years back.

I would be interested in purchasing several of your contemporary counterfeits. I bought a group of them from Dave Wnuck a few years ago.

My "coins" arrived today safe and sound.
windycity packaged them securely and Mailed off quickly.
They are exactly as pictured and totally cool (in my book).

  • Just for your information I started which is probably now the #1 site on Facebook with over 1,000 members called Contemporary Circulating Counterfeits (CCC) - The Good Ones. The reason I started the site was to help PROTECT these valuable HISTORIC coins as the word "COUNTERFEIT" has been getting pulled down into the mud with these modern Chinese forgeries over the last two decades or so. We also have a sister site CCC BUY/SELL/TRADE (BST) run by expert Winston Zack. John Lorenzo, Numismatist, United States. Chances are if you own a CCC its probably already been discussed on our site. Are members are WORLD-WIDE and is policed daily for accuracy.
