It pains me to do this as I've enjoyed nothing but successful transactions on this board over the years, but I'm left with little option than to warn others.

Brandon posted a sale for an Indian Cent book containing a collection of lower grade Indian cents which was destined for one of my grandsons, a budding YN.

On 11/17 I pm'd my desire to him to purchase the coins and sent payment on 11/18 via Paypal F&F. 3 days later (11/21) I followed-up asking if the coins had been sent and he responded that he had been at a funeral and it hadn't happened yet, but would package them with a tracking number and drop them off at the post office.

Since then, I've reached out on 11/23, 11/29, 12/2, and 12/5 looking for an update, but there hasn't been one response yet, and of course, no coins. The money is negligible - $38. But lack of follow-through and poor communication are concerning.

I've been patient, and responses to PM's would help to allay my concerns. However, I'm leaving on vacation tomorrow, and absent a response this is the only avenue I see open to warn others, if there are other posts made to sell additional coins.

If you know BLee23 and can contact him about this please do, as my other concern is that something has befallen him and impacted his ability to connect.

    That stinks. However, this should also be a warning to folks to avoid scamming PayPal by using F&F when in reality they are buying something so they should use PayPal G&S. For a few percent you get protection.

    Sorry to hear of this. I’ve had nothing but positive dealings with him. His last log-in to the forums was on 11/22. Hope he’s ok and this gets resolved.

    Thanks all - amen about F&F being not so great. Again, the money is incidental.

    Offers of coins for my YN are appreciated, but I have more than enough to share. I was just looking for some fresh stuff for him to work through.

    I will NOT use F&F for ....any.... PayPal transactions. Pretty dumb if you ask me.

    Resurrecting an old post from last year.

    While Brandon was delayed in delivery of coins due to issues he encountered, he was able to send them - and I received them today!

    Hard to maintain the faith after 9 months but the coin collecting fraternity is a great bunch!
