I have tried to search everywhere online to get some information about these 2 notes.

    The key words for these are "short snorter" for the $1 note, and "first day of issue" for the $2.

    Be sure to include $2 with first day of issue or you will get many hits pertaining to stamp first day covers.

    Collector and dealer in obsolete currency. Always buying all obsolete bank notes and scrip.

    "First Day Cancel"
    as you also have the Post Office Cancellation inking too
