Overdate on Lima 1 Real 1761 ?

I have posted this 1 Real 1761 from Lima before. However, I would like to know specifically if an overdate is known for this date?

It is listed as an R2 in Yonaka.
However the coin illustrated in the book does not have the double pellets of your coin on the reverse.
In fact the reverse and obverse could be new die varieties.
PillarDollarCollector has a thread on pillars not found in the Yonaka book perhaps you could post this coin on that thread?

If i understand you correctly, Yonaka lists an overdate for the 1761 1 Real ? ( I do not have his book).
Your coin is listed in Yonaka's book it is L1-61a it has 2 dots like yours and the over date. It is listed as rarity 2. It is not a clear overdate of a 6 over 5 based on the description Yonaka gives (Page 190). He states: ''Reworking of the date area, giving an appearance of an overdate or repunched date''.
There are 3 types of 1761's one is uncommon, R2 and R4. As mentioned yours is R2.
Unknown varieties are out there in the wild. Yonaka's book covers what he saw himself. It is impossible for him to have seen every coin that exists. He also has a part in his book stating to e-mail him new found varieties. I do that when I find one.
Yours is L not dotted with MA ligature same as the one in his book.

No problem. I am sure Coinlover101 was trying his best to answer but he is new at this and there is a learning curve. The more he studies the book the more he will know same as what I went threw in the last few years. And I am still nowhere near what some veterans have accumulated in knowledge but with time hopefully I can get closer and closer.
