Cleaned? Authentic

Hi:
Not well versed with how to tell if coins have been cleaned. I got the 54S Franklin on-line and the rest at a Pawn Shop. What are the tell-tale signs one looks for? Also, please let me know if you believe they are authentic (they all passed the weight and ping tests) Thanks

    All are authentic. The silver dollar has been cleaned while the Franklins do not appear to have been cleaned.

    Color, contrast and dull grey appearance on the dollar tell me that it's been cleaned while the full luster on the 54S and partial original luster on the 54D and lack of hairlines, dullness or other signs of cleaning tell me that these appear original.

    It's all about how the light reflects off an original surface vs. an altered one. Looking at lots of both original and cleaned coins is the best way to learn how to differentiate between the two.

    Collector and dealer in obsolete currency. Always buying all obsolete bank notes and scrip.
