1887 Indian Head Penny error

I have an 1887 Indian Head cent that has an error - it appears a coin was stuck on the die and it was struck into this coin. I'm trying to see if this error adds any value to the coin or if it diminishes the value. Would anyone be able to help? Pictures below. Thanks!

    Welcome to the forum

    That is not an error, it is damage. Someone has squeezed another coin into this one
    giving it that effect. They are known as vise jobs.

    One way to tell it was not done in the original die is because of the
    flat area on the reverse opposite of the obverse impression.
    If the coin had been in the die, the force would have been spread over the entire coin,
    not on just the high points opposite of the impression.
