    Found it. In 1996 , Topps did a tribute to Mantle and reprinted his 51 Bowman, 52 Topps, and 53 Topps. The 1953 Topps reprint has a book value of $6.

    Well well well. Thanks for all your hard work cubby. I knew it wasn't worth big$$$'s but I had to ask. Glad you could find something out. As I have no reference books on cards anymore, it would have been pretty rough for me to locate anything on it. Good job. I owe you one.

    it's from a reprint set of 1953 topps baseball cards... topps reissued the set in smaller format and it was actually the second (1952 topps was first reproduced in 1983) set topps re-released...they also have done the 1954 set and the 1955 hockey archives set.
