Ebay buyer to block. surfe-3

This guy did a false chargeback on me claiming he never got my items, when tracking showed them delivered. When I did a little research on the guy, he scammed this other guy out of a Mario Lemeuix rookie card. Do yourself a favor and block him so he won't be able to scam you like he did us.

Ebay does not let people get away with doing false chargebacks.

If your tracking shows as delivered to the address on file with eBay, then you are covered and the chargeback does not go through.

We have had maybe 3 or 4 false chargebacks out of 10s of thousands of transactions on eBay, and each one was covered by eBay.

You mean here? I'd guess PSA is worried about liability issues. After all, we have only your word in a very public place. That's why a lot of people only offer names by PM.

I have often wondered about this. I know of at least one incident where a buyer opened a tracked and delivered package and it was empty. thankfully, he had the opening videoed, but sans this, what is buyers recourse? If all Ebay is looking for is a confirmed delivery?

Oh, so you think I am lying??? I can assure you I am not. He instituted a charge back against me. And I guess you are saying the guy that made the YouTube video is lying as well?

I had the exact same thing happen to me a long time ago. One of the members in here had a hunch the buyer was going to pull a fast one over on me and suggested I open the package in front of the postal employee. I did, and he confirmed with PayPal that I received an empty package. I was able to get my money back, but if I hadn't had done that, the buyer would have stolen my cards and got his money back. His name was "snowmobile" some or other. That was a long time ago, and I never forgot the member telling me to do that. His name was "gameusedhoops". I wonder if he is still in here and remembers that?

I never suggested you were lying. I don't think you're lying. I do think that there are two sides to every story and that in cases like this we don't always hear the whole story. I think very strongly that PSA would not wish to be sued for allowing a public smear of someone's character to appear and remain on this site. Again I suggest that that is why these identifications are best done by PM and by request, not because the stories are untrue, but to reduce or eliminate PSA's liability.

Exactly. The report button is a magical wand that gives brand new forum members more rights than long-time posters. xD

Yup, still here and remember that happening. I think his "tell" was that he told you he collects raw and cracks his slabs out to put them in binders so he can enjoy his sets.

For a follow up, this guy is finally not a registered user on Ebay. I guess Ebay's tolerance for a person who is stealing from the community is lowering.

Yep...the cards with qualifiers were cheaper and gave him the ability to win a really nice looking card for a song.

The worst part is he will create a new account and start over again.

His name is Justin Wilson from Alabama. Same as that cajun chef that used to be on PBS. All I can do is look out for that name I reckon.
