sure doesn't look like a VF30 to me
second one looks more like F15
Sorry for the naïve question, but how does a coin like this come about? Given that they don't circulate.
Pocket pieces
"You can't get just one gun." "You can't get just one tattoo." "You can't get just one 1796 Draped Bust Large Cent."
I agree.
Out of 4,200,000 silver eagles graded with PCGS only 14 have been graded- in all years- within 1- 35.
These are two of those 14.

Interesting. So someone kept this in his pocket for many years? Or do people use rock tumblers or something?
Rock tumblers are artificial wear and graders can detect that from a mile away. Someone kept it in their pocket for many years to create a unique example of a circulated piece that was never supposed to circulate.
I think a few members here are doing the same thing with the 2021 Morgans and Peace Dollars now.
"You can't get just one gun." "You can't get just one tattoo." "You can't get just one 1796 Draped Bust Large Cent."
Closing tomorrow.
I am adding a "Library of Coins small type set with misc. coins later today in a no reserve auction with bidding
starting out at 99c

Are these nothing more than bullion strike coins. No mint mark, originally uncirculated, but super worn today. These can't be worth much more than melt.

Not to the guys that have lowball type sets...
So I guess it's worth more to beat up your coins and force excessive wear than it is to preserve the initial Beauty of the corn itself. I guess to each his own.
